Our walking shoes are ready for the upcoming 3rd Annual “Winery Walk, Rock & Run” event presented by the Monterey County Vintners and Growers Foundation, and we are very proud to again be offering our beautiful estate vineyards in the Santa Lucia Highlands as the backdrop for this amazing event. The “Winery Walk, Rock & Run” is bringing excitement to the way we normally raise money in the wine industry by taking walkers and runners of all levels and ages on a 5-mile course through our vineyards. Upon completion of the course, each participant will be presented with a Finisher’s T-Shirt and Bag on the way to the post-party where you will get to rock out to live music from The Wild Turkeys and relax with massages from Aquablue Skin and Body Spa. Lunch will also be provided by Portobello’s, Tacos Pacheco Taqueria and The Salad Shoppe, along with local beer from Carmel Valley Brewing and Monterey County Wines.

Sounds like a fantastic day right?? Well, you can be a part of this great day by joining TEAM PARAISO on the course. All team participants are to raise a minimum of $85. This is lower than the full $100 if you were to participate individually, since we are receiving a team discount for having over 35 people signed up already! For every participant who joins TEAM PARAISO we will donate an additional $20. Hey, if you do your part, we will do ours! As a member of TEAM PARAISO we will also give you a souvenir Paraiso Team T-Shirt to wear on the course.

Paraiso In Bloom – Our Biggest Event of the Spring Season!

We are very excited to kick of the spring season with “Paraiso in Bloom”! This lighthearted event is the perfect way not only to enjoy fantastic Paraiso wine, but also to let loose and bring out the kid in you. Your day at “Paraiso in Bloom” will be full of great activities including an egg coloring contest, cork toss and an adult Easter egg hunt! And yes, I did mention “adult” for a reason. The more eggs you find the better chances you have of winning special discounts, bottles of wine and other prizes including cork screws, t-shirts and wine glasses… just to name a few. For the slightly more daring individuals, you will be able to compete in the famous Paraiso Potato Sack Races!

Additional highlights of our “Paraiso in Bloom” event are a Farmer’s Market and Flower Market. All items in the markets are fresh, locally grown and available for one day only at amazing prices, so come ready to stock up on your favorite produce and flowers. Paraiso will also be offering tastes of our full-line up of wines grown right here on our Santa Lucia Highlands estate.

Her designs blur the distinction between vintage and modern.” We have learned so far that these are going to be very hard items to keep in stock. “Valentine’s Passport” is one of the most talked about events on River Road Wine Trail. For one day only, all fourteen vintners along the country back roads of south Monterey County will open their doors to hundreds of wine lovers looking to have an amazing day filled with wine, food and a celebration of all things amour. Paraiso’s very exclusive “Perfect Pairing” Wine Dinner is right around the corner. We are very excited to have the wonderful Chef Michael Jones working his magic and creating an entire meal to complement our Santa Lucia Highlands estate wines.

Chef Michael Jones is known for his amazing creations in the kitchens of A Moveable Feast Catering and the Cachagua General Store tucked away deep in the hills of Cachagua, 25 miles from the Carmel coast. To learn a little more about Jones, you can find a six-page spread featuring the Cachagua General Store in the recent Fall issue of Edible Monterey Bay, where you will not only learn about Jones’ journey to where he is today and an insight into his organic cooking style, but by the time you are done reading you will also know how to open a Champagne bottle with a saber.
